The Marshall family over the past year have accessed the Ex Gratia grant available to all eligible donors.
Jade is a serving member of Police Scotland and said “We can’t thank the charity enough for the grant towards Ellie’s facilitated learning, it’s the highlight of her fortnight and a welcome release for her pent up emotions. She has missed the last month due to sickness and we are really seeing the impact. This is certainly something we couldn’t maintain without the help of the charity.”
Ellie has been going to Lunar Eclipse for a few months to help her manage some big emotions.
Having been aware of the charity for almost 19 years it was a colleague that mentioned TPCC may be able to support us with grant funding to allow us to provide some extra support. “I wasn’t aware this was something the charity could provide. I was amazed at how simple the process was and very thankful for the funding provided as we see so many positives from Ellie’s sessions. She is more relaxed, is starting to process big emotions in a controlled manner and is most definitely happier.”
Jade has said that she now promote the Charity within her division as they really did suffer in silence at home with Ellie as there was only so much they could provide themselves. It’s given Ellie, her confidence back bit by bit and as a finally getting the happy little girl back. “We wouldn’t be getting to the end of that tunnel with the support from the Charity. I now volunteer with the horse charity when I can taking them in to care homes so it’s had lots of benefits for us all.”
“I know a lot of friends at work who just ‘manage’ so this can only be a positive for everyone to get support where needed.”
