Higher Education Grants

The Higher Education Grants are available from the age of 18 to help support a course of study in further education. Beneficiaries will be eligible for a course of up to a maximum of four years or to the age of 25, whichever is the lesser.

The Charity’s support is a fixed sum payable (not the whole course costs) in three equal instalments through the academic year.

The Charity does not provide grants for “gap year” periods or activities.

For young people not attending university, a School Leavers Grant of £500 to support in buying tools for an apprenticeship, work uniforms etc.

See User Guide for details regarding eligibility and payment processes.

I would like to convey my family’s gratitude to the Charity and also express that my father who paid into the fund would be greatly pleased to know that something positive came from it in terms of my further educational support. It is gratifying to know that the Charity is able to support students in a similar position to myself and I hope it continues. (GMP)
